About Dr. Justin Odulana
Justin Odulana, PhD., MPH., MS,
Founder and President
Dr. Justin Odulana is the founder and president of Health International Network System (HINS)
Institute, a subsidiary of the Health International Network System. Dr. Odulana received his
PhD in Community Health Education from the Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Illinois,
and his MPH in Community Health Sciences from the University of Illinois, School of Public
Health, in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Odulana also holds a Master degree in Adult Education,
Curriculum and Instruction, Out-Of-School-Setting from the Chicago State University, Chicago,
Illinois. He also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Demography and Population Growth Studies
from University College, Cardiff, South Wales, United Kingdom, England, and a Diploma in
Journalism (print media) from the College of Journalism (Overseas Press Services), Fleet Street,
London, England.
Prior to migrating to the United States, Dr. Odulana was the Program Officer for the
International Planned Parenthood Federation for Africa, based at the Africa Regional Office,
Nairobi, Kenya, East Africa, and a Staff Writer at the International Planned Parenthood
Federation Head Office, London, England. He also worked in the Syndication Department of
the Financial Times in Fleet Street, London, England.
Before launching the Health International Network System, Dr. Odulana taught graduate and
undergraduate courses in community health sciences, health issues of minority populations,
global health care delivery systems, grant writing, grant management, program evaluation,
statistics, international health, marketing, and computer software skills development
(Microsoft Word, Website, Internet/Intranet, SPSS, SAS, Excel, and ACCESS) at the University of
Cincinnati, Cincinnati, Ohio, and at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where he was also
the Director of the Community Health Education Undergraduate Program. He also worked as
Assessment Administrator, Fieldwork, on the National Assessment of Education Program, as
a Champion Trainer on the Wisconsin State Department of Health Person-Centered Care (PCC) and
Trauma Informed Care (TIC), and as Lecturer/Program Development Specialist, International
Center for Training in Population and Family Health. Dr. Odulana has supervised more than 30
thirty dissertation and Masters theses. He has published, co-authored and presented over
hundred researched articles, and served on numerous committees, and a recipient of many national awards including the American Public Health Association's Black Caucus of Health Workers Hildrus Poindexter Distinguished Service Award.
